GifForge ("we", "us", or "our") provides a local-first iOS app that helps users convert video clips into GIF and MP4 files directly on their devices.

This Privacy Policy explains what data GifForge processes, how we handle it, how long data is retained, and what choices you have.

1. Summary

GifForge is designed to process your source videos locally on your device by default.

• We do not upload your source videos to our servers by default when you trim, crop, preview, or export media in the app.
• We do not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking in the current version of the app.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• Apple processes subscription billing and payment-related information for in-app purchases.

2. Data We Process

A. Source Videos and Exported Media

When you select a video from your photo library, GifForge uses on-device Apple frameworks to access that content so the app can let you preview, trim, crop, and export it.

In the current version of GifForge:

• your source video is processed locally on your device;
• your source video is not uploaded to our servers by default; and
• your exported files are only saved where you choose to save them, such as Photos or Files.

B. App Preferences and Local App Data

GifForge stores certain settings locally on your device to make the app work as expected. This may include:
